Catania Street Park, Coora Street Park, Delavan Street Park, Frinton Street Park, Koola Street Park, Merrick Street Park, Mindona Rotary Park, Pindari Crescent Park, Shillington Place Park, Wishart Community Park, and Wishart Nature Reserve. Most of these parks have some excellent facilities for all to use including barbecues, playgrounds, bikeways and pathway networks, a designated drone launching area, habitat restoration areas, rebound walls, off leash dog areas, basketball half courts and more. Many of these are also located along Bulimba Creek and link up with each other creating one big pathway network making for a decent sized scenic walk along the creek. There are bridges for when the pathway crosses over the creek as well as areas where you can walk right down to the waters edge.

The course begins at Wishart Community Park which is located on Greenwood Street and follows a paved path the whole way along. The path follows along Bulimba Creek and the bikeway. The course first heads north towards Bellbird Crescent before turning around and heading back past the starting point. Runners then follow the Bulimba Creek bikeway before turning right towards Maisie Dixon Park after the bridge. Participants turn back around at Jorgensen Bridge and head back to the starting point to finish the five kilometres. Depending on the number of volunteers that week, there will be marshals at important points along the track to help guide participants.

Wishart, MSB (a nutritionist shop), Ramsay Pharmacy Wishart Day and Night, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology, Wishart Family Dental, Wishart Medical Centre, and Wishart Village Family Practice. There are also several delicious restaurant and take away options located within Wishart Shopping Village. Some of these include Bay Leaf Tandoor and Grill, Domino’s Pizza, Fish Art – Fresh and Cooked Seafood, Red Rooster, Wired Coffee, and Wishart Bakery. All of these restaurants have received excellent reviews and are visited frequently by the Wishart Community. Fish Art is arguably one of the most popular spots within the village with customers both the fresh and cooked array of seafood. There’s also a McDonald’s located next door on Mt Gravatt Capalaba Road. It is conjoined with a Caltex service station.

The subjects of the Bible talks change each month and are of general interest for anyone to join, regardless of their level of knowledge of the Bible. The Mansfield Christian Reformed Church is located on the corner of Wishart Road and Ham Road. Being a larger church, they are an evangelism oriented network of fellowship groups scattered around Brisbane. They are a member church of the larger Christian Reformed Churches of Australia and hold services every Sunday morning. St Johns Wishart is the final church, located on the corner of Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road and Greenwood Street. They hold three services on Sunday at various times throughout the day as well as mid-week communions, home groups, and ladies fellowship. They also have a Sunday School and Youth Groups for the kids and young adults.

It was called Mount Gravatt South Primary School before it was eventually renamed to Wishart State Primary School after the suburb was officially named Wishart in 1967. Today, Wishart State Primary School is an excellent school focused primarily on the education of their students. They have high expectations of their teaching staff and conduct Teaching and Learning Audits regularly. They also have a wide range of extra-curricular activities for their students to participate in. Sports is obviously one of the most popular extra-curricular activities. Wishart Primary is affiliated with the Mt Gravatt District Schools Sports Association which allows their students to compete in interschool sport, cross country, district swimming and track and field competitions. They also have an instrumental music program as well as a choral music program for students.
